Jacinda’s Story

Meet Jacinda!

Jacinda is one of our lovely staff members at Jude’s and has shared her story of why Jude’s is important to her.

Jacinda’s Story:

“I was only 18 when I had my first experience of losing a friend and colleague to mental illness. She was only 5 years older than me and I couldn’t comprehend what would make her want to take her own life. She had the most infectious smile, you couldn’t have known she had darkness inside her.

I wish she had a place were she felt comfortable to open up and talk about her darkness, a place that believed in her.

I love that I get to work at Jude’s where we’re committed to helping change the outcome through our programs. We want young people to know their life is important and that their life is worth living.”
